Government Budget 65% open

Namibia

What data is expected?

National government budget, that is the planned government expenditure for high-level activities, but not a fine-grained list of expenditure items. Open budget data allows for well-informed publics: showing where money is spent on, how public funds develop over time, and why certain activities are funded.

  • Enacted budget
  • Ongoing revenues / expenditures
  • Disaggregation by department, program, expenditure
  • None of the above

Though the ministry does not provide the data in open formats, every year they print budget booklets, which is distributed and available for all who able to collect at Ministry of Finance offices. However, a pdf budget booklet is also available for download.

Changed the submission to link to the resources mentioned by the submitter, since the data is available in the PDF reports.
