findable_steps I searched for data on land ownership in South Africa. The most relevant hit was that of the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform because of the Land Audit Report they recently started preparing and publishing. Then upon exploring the report, I found that the other land information is from the Office of the Chief Surveyor General.

Rural development and land reform provided a land audit report. https://www.polity.org.za/article/land-audit-report---november-2017-2018-02-28 The land audit report provides numerical, socio-demographic information on how many owners exist, and how land ownership is distributed among men and women. Fine-grained parcel information about location and parcel shape and ownership history is not available to the public.
